David Archuleta Vlogs About Kaleidoscope and Christmas Tour
November 20, 2009 by Jeanne
David Archuleta is at home in Utah and he sat down to make an adorable vlog for all of us fans! He talked about what he’s been up to and he mentioned the ice skating special, Kaleidoscope, which will air on Thanksgiving Day and features performances by Katharine McPhee and skaters Scott Hamilton, Nancy Kerrigan and more. Sounds fun!
He also talked about how his aunt surprised him by taking him to a John Mayer concert which made him really happy since he has been trying to get to one of his shows for a while. I’m so jealous – I …read more
No More Wisdom Teeth for David Archuleta!
September 30, 2009 by Jeanne
Have you ever had your wisdom teeth pulled? If so, you can probably relate to David Archuleta’s nerves about the whole procedure. My own extraction was pretty awful (it took 3 hours!) and I was swollen for days so I hope Archie fares better than I did, although I’m sure there’s a ton of you who wouldn’t mind taking care of him while he heals!
Poor David has needed to have them out for a while now but his schedule has kept him so busy that there wasn’t enough time for him to have the surgery and then recover afterwards. Obviously, …read more
David Archuleta Sings “America the Beautiful” at 2009 U.S. Open
September 14, 2009 by Jeanne
The U.S. Open is about to wrap up and, since I write about tennis, I was super surprised and excited to see David Archuleta performing “America the Beautiful” before the women’s final match between Caroline Wozniacki and Kim Clijsters (Clisjters ended up winning).
Archie sounded a little nervous at first but he quickly turned on the magic and his gorgeous voice shone through. The crowd cheered when he was joined by the United States Marine Corps 6th Communications Battalion. It was understated and touching so I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

David Archuleta Covers “Bubbly” at Pittsburgh Show
July 29, 2009 by Jeanne
The ever adorable, David Archuleta, performed the Colbie Caillat mega-hit, “Bubbly” at his concert in Pittsburgh last night. Of course, he did a really good job and the crowd went crazy when they realized what he was singing (they also sang along). I have always wondered if people get annoyed when the audience sings along.
Anyway, the Season 7 American Idol runner-up, seems so much more at ease every time I see him. It’s hard to believe that he’s the same little awkward kid that was on Idol. He has such an amazing voice! He’s also gotten better at putting …read more
David Archuleta Assumed Adam Lambert Was Gay
June 12, 2009 by Jeanne
American Idol season 7 runner-up, David Archuleta, wasn’t shocked when his season 8 counterpart, Adam Lambert, officially came out of the closet in a Rolling Stone interview.
While he was performing at the Children Uniting Nations gala in Washington, DC, he said: “I don’t think it was a big surprise. I don’t think he was trying to be all sneaky and secret about it. I’m sure he was happy with who he was and stuff, it’s not like he was ashamed. I just kind of assumed it, I think everyone else did too. I don’t think it’s a bad thing …read more
David Archuleta Sends Message to American Idol Judges
January 22, 2009 by Jeanne
American Idol cutie, David Archuleta, recently sent out a message to the judges on the popular singing competition which I first spotted on the J-14 website (thanks to Nikki of Junior Celebs!).
It was, of course, an adorable little video with David telling Randy Jackson that he misses all the “dawg” comments, thanking Paula Abdul for all the nice (but weird) things she said about him, telling Simon Cowell that he’s very cool even though a lot of people are afraid of him and, finally, thanking Kara DioGuardi for working with him on his album. What a sweetie!
David Archuleta "A Little Too Not Over You"
December 16, 2008 by Jeanne
Have you seen the video for David Archuleta’s new single "A Little Not Over You?" There was a lot of criticism over his video for "Crush" since people said he wasn’t convincing as a guy who is crushing on someone. Did you find it more genuine this time? I love David and I find it really hard to come down on someone for being too innocent but he just seems uncomfortable to me. Surely, he’s hugged girls before, right?
Anyway, I don’t love this song but I do like it. When I first reviewed the album, I didn’t have a …read more

American Idol season 7 runner-up, David Archuleta, participated in the z100 Jingle Ball 2008 at New York City’s Madison Square Garden this past weekend and the girls went absolutely nuts!
There’s about a million Jingle Ball videos on YouTube but I just had to share this video of him singing Vanessa Carlton’s "A Thousand Miles." I’m not even sure he could hear himself over the screaming. It must have been a completely surreal experience for him. Watch it here:
