No Asians on Idol?

In a recent post, a visitor left me a comment that involved the racial politics of American Idol. It got me thinking about the first major accusation of racism against the show (not that I am implying that racism is present, I’m just asking an open-ended question).

When Jennifer Hudson was voted off, there was such a public uproar that the question of racism was immediately raised. I recently wrote a post about an interview that George Huff did with CrossRhythms website that talked about his experiences on American Idol. With the focus of the article being on George’s experience spiritually with the show and his success in the gospel and Christian music arena, I’ve shared the post on the Christian Music Fan website.
George was a Top 12 contestant from Season 3 that was originally voted off the show but invited to come back.
