Kimberly Caldwell to Host P. Diddy’s “StarMaker”

Kimberly Caldwell, who you might remember from Season 2 of American Idol (and as David Cook’s ex-girlfriend), is joining another reality TV show but, thankfully, she will NOT be a contestant. Instead, she’s been tapped to host P. Diddy’s new MTV show StarMaker.
On the show, 14 contestants vie for the ultimate prize – a recording contract with Bad Boy Records which, of course, would include having their career launched by Bad Boy CEO, P. Diddy. The 10-episode series kicks off on August 16, 2009 at 10pm ET/PT.

David Cook and Kimberly Caldwell Break Up
David Cook and Kimberly Caldwell are said to have broken up just before the holidays, according to her rep.
The American Idol season seven winner and the season two finalist had been dating since last year’s Idol finale.
Despite trying hard to remain private, the pair had been spotted at a Dodgers game and Kimberly had joined David on the set of his video shoot for his single “Light On.”
I guess it just didn’t work out in the end. Her rep says that the pair continue to remain friends.
