Singer and songwriter, Mat Kearney has recently said that he’s happy to be working with American Idol winner, Kris Allen, saying that he’s “the real deal.”

Were the Chosen Songwriters Really Undiscovered?
May 23, 2007 by Jeanne
Ugh, this just gets worse by the second. I cannot even keep up with it all. American Idol did something new this year by asking America to vote for the best “finale song” which was to be written by “undiscovered songwriters.” Well, my friends, the song that seemed written for Jordin does not seem to be the work of amateurs. Here’s what Reality TV magazine uncovered:
“‘This Is My Now’ was written by Seattle songwriters Scott Krippayne and Jeff Peabody. In a press release about the single, Jeff Peabody is described as an advertising consultant, graphic …read more
The Carrie Underwood Report – May 17, 2007
May 17, 2007 by Jeanne
Carrie Underwood continues to dominate in the music world. At the 42 Annual Academy of Country Music Awards Carrie took home the goods in the Top Female Vocalist, Album of The Year (Some Hearts) and Video of The Year (Before He Cheats) categories.
I have to admit, I liked her while she was on the show but I was not a huge fan of hers at the time. I thought she was a real stiff performer (she’s still working on it) but could not deny her singing ability. She has definitely proven herself as one of the most successful American Idol …read more
I remember one time, at Idol Camp
Did you hear that right? You thought I was going to say “Band Camp” didn’t you? That’s not the case now, it’s all about American Idol nowadays.
If you have a child that’s between the ages of 12 and 15 and has any type of interest in vocal performance or becoming the next American Idol, you can send them away to summer camp now that’s focused on all things Idol.
I probably should have clarified that you need to have a child between 12 and 15 and a little cash in your pocket to send them away for only 8 days. Scholarships …read more
Taylor Hick’s Album Now Available
December 14, 2006 by Jason
Can’t believe I missed this one after highlighting that Fantasia’s album was available on December 12th. Taylor Hick’s full album was available on the 12th as well.
I’ve got his music playing in the background as I’m working on the computer. I think if you liked Taylor before, this album just continues the feel good music and showcases his talent as an artist.
I really like “The Runaround” and “The Right Place”.
Weird Al Spoofs Taylor Hicks
In my opinion you know you’ve made it to the big leagues when Weird Al Yankovic starts parodying your music. Given that thought, Taylor should be proud because his song “Do I Make You Proud” has been parodied to “Do I Creep You Out” by the master of humor music.

I’ve always been a big fan of Weird Al. As goofy as his music is, I think he’s really got some talent, both for creativity and actual singing ability. …read more
It’s Daughtry Day!!!
November 21, 2006 by Jason
What? You think this week is special just because we get to have some obscene amounts of turkey and other yummy foods? Not if you’re an Idol Stalker. If you’re one of us, then you know today is special for a whole other reason.
Today Chris Daughtry’s album is released and that my friends is something many of us can be thankful for right?
