Kris Allen admitted that being crowned the newest idol has not fully sunk in yet for him, and of course he was as humble as ever. Ryan asked him if he thought that the Christian vote played a big part in him winning, and he says that he really hoped it didn’t. He says that religion shouldn’t have anything to do with American Idol, and I’ve got to agree with him.

Adam’s attitude was great! He showed absolutely not bitterness or anything, which was great to see. He said that all he wanted to do was just do his best. Paula Abdul also joined the two after a while and said that the judges were happy no matter who ended up winning. Enjoy the videos!

Last year, after 13 years of not being on the charts, Paula’s song, “Dance Like There’s No Tomorrow” made it to #80 on the charts. Paula premiered “I’m Just Here for the Music” on American Idol on May 6th and wowed the crowd as she…well…danced like there was no tomorrow.

Good for her! That’s great to hear!

Will you be tuning in to watch Paula Abdul’s new special on MTV?  It’s called RAH! Paula Abdul’s Cheerleading Bowl and it airs on Saturday, January 3^rd at 12pm ET/PT.  The 90-minute special will, of course, feature lots of cute girls in cheerleading uniforms but it will also give viewers a behind-the-scenes look at this highly competitive sport. 

In the end, five squads will be picked by Paula.  These teams will fly to New York to complete in the ultimate cheerleading competition.  Of the show, Paula said: “Rah is a project a lifetime in the making. I wanted to share one of my greatest passions, in a unique and special format that celebrates the true spirit, creativity and athleticism that is cheerleading.”

Along with Paula, who will be both a host and coach, the show will feature judges Hi-Hat (choreographer for Bring It On and Step Up 2: The Streets), Scott Bouchard (head coach for the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth) and Brenna Klinger (New Jersey Nets dancer).

The grand prize winners will be featured in American Cheerleader Magazine and a trip for their squad to attend MTV Spring Break 2009

I don’t know about you but I love cheerleading.  The girls not only need to be in tip-top shape but the squads need to be really creative in order to remain competitive.

Paula’s rep explained: "Paula simply feels she has outgrown her house.  Given the recent public disclosure of her address, it seemed time that she move into a gated community." 

I actually completely agree and, I’m sorry, if that had happened to me, I would move too.  I know there are rumors that Paula feels like the place is now haunted but I wouldn’t want to drive past that front area of that home every day.  Would you?

As of today, there was no official cause of death in the case of Paula Goodspeed, the obsessive fan (some say stalker) of American Idol judge, Paula Abdul.  Goodspeed was found dead in front of Abdul’s house last week.  The coroner’s office told E! News: "we are doing toxicology.  It will take six to eight weeks.”

In spite of everything, Goodspeed’s friends and family are defending her, saying that she wasn’t a stalker.  OK Magazine reported that Goodspeed’s friend, Brianna Schlanger said: "she sent me a text at 10:22 the night before about meeting for a latte and movie.  She ended the message with a happy face. She seemed fine. Something must have happened after that. It needs to be further investigated."

Despite the fact that multiple sources have said that Goodspeed regularly hung around Abdul’s block, Schlanger continued: "I’m still in disbelief, waiting for her to show up at my door.  I knew she admired (Paula Abdul). But there’s no way she was stalking her or had any bad intentions."

Goodspeed’s niece, Sonja McIntyre, echoed the sentiments and said: "not an ounce of truth to this.  Paula met her only at ‘Idol.’"

Uhhhh… then why did she have a license plate and key chain with Paula’s name/picture on it?  And why would she be in front of Paula’s house?  Come on.  There is no shame in telling the truth.  The girl was obviously not well. 

In the meantime, spooky stories have started to emerge.  It’s been reported that Paula has hired someone to cleanse her home of ghosts because she is afraid that Goodspeed is haunting her house.  Do you believe it?  Paula’s rep weighed in made the following statement: "there’s no validity to this. She’s been home since the incident happened. There’s no issue with spirits. Paula is shocked and saddened by what transpired. Her heart and prayers go out to the Goodspeed family."

According to TMZ.com, the deceased woman has been identified as Paula Goodspeed, who you may remember from her 2006 audition at the beginning of Season 5.  For copyright reasons, I cannot publish her picture here but you can see it by clicking here.

I am trying hard not to speculate and come to my own conclusions about this but I’m really struggling.  What in the world was she doing at Paula Abdul’s house and what would cause a young woman to just drop dead like that?!  You know people are going to be talking about drugs or stalking or suicide (so far, it does look like a drug overdose/suicide). 

What do you think?  I will update this story as news becomes available.

*update – she was found in her car and it is believed that she committed suicide.

She went on to say that she prayed for a victory for Obama and says that there is a “presence” about him that is “so calm, and so serene, and he is so confident and sure of himself. There’s a calming effect that just feels so good. I feel like it’s a universal shift towards kindness, towards patience, towards peace. That’s the only way I can explain it.”  I think I can agree with that.  Nothing seems to faze him or throw him off, so I’m hoping that is a sign of how he will run the nation.

Her admiration is not just reserved for Barack, though – it extends to his whole family: “I just feel like the presence of this man She’s also looking forward to seeing the Obama family in the White House. “I love his wife. And those little girls, I just want to squish ‘em they’re so beautiful!” she said. “I’ll offer to baby sit anytime!”

I know that a lot of my friends who live in the States had told me that, if John McCain won, they would be moving to Canada.  I wonder if any of them would have gone through with it.

American Idol judge, Paula Abdul, has a lot to say lately. It seems like every day there’s some new quote or interview that sheds some small light into her life. She has definitely had her share of struggles over the years, but she is trying to put a positive spin on it all.

In a recent interview with OK! Magazine, Paula had the following to say:

“I was premature at birth. I weighed two pounds, three ounces. When I came home from the hospital the doctor said I was one of the bravest babies he’d ever seen. I’ve made a career of falling on my ass or falling on my face and getting up again.”
