American Idol Season 8 Top 4 Results Show
May 6, 2009 by Jeanne
The show started with a group performance of “School’s Out” which is one of my favorite songs to play on Guitar Hero: Legends of Rock. It was pretty cool to see the contestants rock out like that.
Danny Gokey had me cracking up as he talked about how funny it was to watch his performance from last night. Judge Simon Cowell had said his last note sounded like something from a horror movie and Danny had to agree. He said that his own aunt had muted it and he heard that people were making ringtones. Too funny!

American Idol 8 Top 9 Results Show

The American Idol contestants showed us a bit about their lives and things have changed since they’ve been on the show. They spend a lot of time doing interviews, photo shoots and walking the red carpet (wow, I feel so sorry for them – ha ha!). They also revealed that they have a private chef (Scott requested a triple chocolate cake!).
Reigning Idol winner, David Cook, sang his song “Come Back to Me” and I was really happy to see him considering he had to cancel some shows due to some family issues. He was presented with a platinum record …read more
The Votes Are In: Alexis, Michael and Danny Advance To American Idol Top 12
February 18, 2009 by Jeanne
Tonight, they announced the first three contestants to make it to the Top 12 on the eighth season of American Idol. America voted and the following people made it:
Alexis Grace sang “Never Loved a Man”
Michael Sarver sang “I Don’t Wanna Be”
Danny Gokey sang “Hero”
What do you think of the results? Are you surprised? Happy? Mad? I was so upset when I saw Michael Sarver and Anoop Desai standing there together. I wanted them both to make it.

American Idol Results Show – May 16, 2007

Melinda Doolittle went home last night. I am beginning to wonder about some of the theories circulating out there. One of the most popular is that they want Jordin to win, so in order to do that, they had to remove the biggest threat – Melinda. I love Blake and that is not meant as an insult, nor is it a suggestion that Jordin is not talented, but I can kinda see the logic. This is a sad day. To tell the truth, any one of the three going home is tragic. They were all so different and so talented …read more
Results Show – April 11, 2007
April 11, 2007 by Jeanne
Since it is latin week, I will stick with the theme and say “Hasta la vista, baby!”
Her Ho Patrol has obviously become the “No” Patrol. Haley Scarnato is going home. I think making the contestants sing after their elimination is cruel and in this case, I feel like I’ve been punished as well.
I must say that I agree with the bottom three. I think Jordin was a bit worse than Chris but Phil is getting on my last nerve. He is talented but I don’t know what happened to him over the last few weeks. If you listen to him …read more
My First Tears – This Season’s First Shocker (not including Sanjaya)
April 4, 2007 by Jeanne
I wasn’t a fan of most of the performances last night and I thought Gina did okay, (not great, but okay) but there is NO WAY that I thought she should go home tonight!!!! This is the first real shocker of the season for me and my throat is tender from screaming. Haley stayed, so the Ho Patrol must be alive and well (and voting…yuck). I hope to see her again.
Week 1 Results Show

I’m watching the results show now. I love this show, but this is the epitome of taking the most time to say nothing. There’s nothing new shared at all on this show, just the best clips.
The only thing interesting is seeing all of them perform the group songs. The hardest workers in all of this though are the sound guys that are managing the mix for 24 different vocalists with very different volume and power.
HEY! Paul Kim has shoes on!
24 is just a huge group. I like it, but it just seems odd.

My Guess for 3rd Place
I’m putting it out there and will almost guarantee that tonight is the end of the road for Katharine McPhee. Elliott outsang her last night, and her only shining moment was really “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”. I’ll put her performance last night on that song up there with Fantasia’s performance of “Summertime” and Clay Aiken’s “Bridge Over Troubled Water”. Katharine has amazing talent and beauty. Her biggest challenge will be deciding between the offers to take advantage of in her career now.
I think Taylor’s got this contest in the bag at this point. I just don’t believe that Elliott has …read more
