Last week, Mary Tyler Moore and Bernadette Peters hosted the eleventh annual Broadway Barks! event which features an amazing dog and cat adopt-a-thon which benefits New York City animal shelters and adoption agencies.
I think that’s great because I can only imagine how many animals are abandoned and left on the streets in NYC so I’m glad someone is doing something about it.  It’s produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and sponsored by the ASPCA and Pedigree.

Constantine Maroulis garnered enough attention for his performance in Broadway’s Rock of Ages to earn a Tony nomination (shocking many, including himself).  Unfortunately, the former American Idol finalist did not win but he did put on quite the show at the 63rd Annual Tony Awards (watch the video).

Former American Idol finalist, Constantine Maroulis, was nominated in the “Best Performance By a Lead Actor in a Musical” category at the 63rd Annual Tony Awards last night but, unfortunately, lost out to the three actors from Billy Elliot.  Still, I’m so impressed that he was nominated at all!

Looking at his performance with his Rock of Ages cast mates, it is amazing to see how far he has come.  He has so much more control over his voice, he’s got less vibrato and I’m telling you that it’s really hard to run around a stage and still sound coherent.  I’m …read more
