The mother of Jojo Bojanowski is already causing quite a stir.  In a clip from the show, Khalood Bojanowski, is shown describing the kind of women she doesn’t want for her son.  Shockingly, she goes on a racist tirade as if she’s calling out the grocery list!

In response to the controversy, Ryan said: “There were points where we just stopped everything and had to jump into the field and onto the set to calm everyone down. And to be frank with you, there are portions of this show that were highly controversial in terms of tone and intensity that we debated internally here to whether we should put them on the air…. Well, as producers, we certainly don’t want boring people.  I have to admit that at some points during this shoot, I was taken aback by the way (Bojanowski) said certain things.”

Is this new reality show all bad, then?  No, says Ryan.  “There are plenty of funny moments along the way,” he said. “There’s plenty of intense moments along the way. But it truly is – and it sounds corny to say it – but it truly is a loud love story.”

As the executive producer of the new reality show, Momma’s Boys, host, Ryan Seacrest is finding life very hectic.  I’m sure it’s tough to find time to date even though the show is all about dating!  The new series asks: "Who is really the most important woman in every man’s life?" As a mother with only one son, I seriously just gulped thinking about what my future might hold.  I hope I’m not as overbearing as Ryan’s mother seems to be!

When asked what kind of woman his mother would want him to date, the American Idol host said, "one that is under her spell — one that is under her control. I tend to like girls that are more provocative than my mother would approve of. She would definitely want the one that continues to go to church every Sunday. I might want the one that skips every Sunday."

On the show, "32 single women vie for the attention of three eligible bachelors and their mothers, who live with them throughout the show, and uncover the conflicts between a mother’s wishes and a son’s desires."

Momma’s Boys debuts on NBC on December 16, 2008 at 10pm.

I haven’t seen Knocked Up but apparently, American Idol host, Ryan Seacrest is quite hilarious in the flick.

From what I’ve heard, Ryan makes a scene-stealing cameo which has shocked and amused movie-goers.

In a tongue-in-cheek scene, Ryan pokes fun at himself, which probably only makes it funnier. The main female character, played by Katherine Heigl, works for E! Entertainment Television, along with Ryan (playing an exaggerated version of himself), who clearly takes his job too seriously.

To his credit, Ryan seemed to enjoy the experience. “Oh, I love it! I don’t mind being the butt of the joke. . . . It doesn’t really bother me. I quite enjoy it,” said Seacrest who goes on to say “I believe that one of the things I’ve tried to do is work hard and take the business very seriously. . . . But, at the same time, you can’t take the (TV personality) role too seriously. Then you really begin to lose it.”

I was on the tarmac ramp of Million Air at Van Nuys Airport today at 1pm. There was a private jet getting prepped with a camera guy and boom operator standing by. Three sedans pulled up. In the first one, a short woman with dark hair and a tall black guy got out (Paula and ??). The second a short white guy that looked 30ish (Ryan). Here’s the kicker, the third sedan pulled up and it was a white guy with dark hair, square head, and a tight black t-shirt (Simon) followed by a tall skinny white girl with dark hair (Simon’s girlfriend?). Didn’t see Randy unless he was the tall black guy, but he seemed too skinny and I don’t think anyone would want to ride with Paula. HAHA!! Perhaps this footage will be on a behind the scenes part of a DVD.

Interesting idea Brian, I wonder if anyone out there has details they can share in our comments. Let us know!

Cowell beat out David Beckham, Brad Pitt and Leo DiCaprio. Speaking with The Sun, Cowell had this to say about the honor: “I would expect to be very near the top as I’m obviously extremely attractive.”

That’s quite an honor Mr. Cowell, congratulations. Maybe that we’ll shut Ryan Seacrest up a little bit, after all, we don’t see him winning titles like that overseas now do we?

Now there have been times where Simon’s opinions have been seemingly way off, on both sides. There have been times where I’ve though the contestants did great and he’s trashed their performance, and times when I thought it was horrible and he loved it. The key here is that he’s a professional, does this for a living and obviously knows what he’s talking about.

More so than any other judge, I believe Simon’s comments also provide more constructive feedback. We can always rely on Paula to mention wardrobe, appearance and the emotional connection to the audience. Then there’s Randy with the “hot one tonight”, “go dog!”, “you pulled it out” comments.

I’m really curious as to if all the stabs back and forth are scripted or at least encouraged by everyone for the “drama”, or if it’s really spiteful. If it’s the latter, it surprises me that any of the judges would agree to or be invited back for subsequent seasons. What do you think?
