David Cook on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon

American Idol winner, David Cook, was on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon last night and I think he looked and sounded great.  He performed “Come Back To Me” from his debut album, David Cook, and the more I hear this song, the more I like it.  It’s kind of haunting, isn’t it?  He did seem a little bit tired to me (but still great).  Did you notice that?  Watch the performance:

Jimmy also spoke quickly to David after the performance.  Here’s the brief interview:

Jennifer Hudson on the Today Show

Jennifer Hudson on the Today Show

The beautiful and talented Jennifer Hudson was on the Today show yesterday where she performed several songs including “Love You I Do” and “Spotlight.”
I absolutely love her but can I just take a moment to comment on her outfit?  I’m a fuller-figured woman so I’m not mad at her for carrying a little extra weight but you’ve got to wear clothes that flatter and accentuate your curves.  I think that top and those pants made her look frumpy (in fact, whoever designed the upper leg part of those pants should be banned from fashion forever).
Anyway, here’s a …read more

Allison Iraheta at Regis and Kelly – Pictures

Last week’s eliminated American Idol contestant, Allison Iraheta, was spotted as she arrived for an appearance on Live! With Regis and Kelly.
I see she has chosen to keep those hair extensions she got put in (by Adam Lambert’s stylist, I believe?) during Rock Week.  I think they suit her but I don’t like her outfit.  Do you like her look (click on the images to enlarge).

Matt Giraud – “So Small” on Regis and Kelly

Matt Giraud sang Carrie Underwood’s “So Small” during the Top 11 performances back in March and he did it again this morning on Live! With Regis and Kelly which is currently airing from Miami Beach.
I thought it was a decent enough performance, all things considered (it was outside and early in the morning), but I didn’t love it.  Watch it and judge for yourself.

Simon Cowell Talks About DioGuardi on Ellen

Simon Cowell Talks About DioGuardi on Ellen

When American Idol judge, Simon Cowell, was on Ellen, the talk show host asked him about the future of the fourth judge, Kara DioGuardi.  He started by saying that it was interesting that there are contestants on the show who have waited their whole life for this opportunity but everyone keeps focusing on the whether the judges will still be on the show.  He’s got a point.
He did address the question, though, and said that he believed everyone would be back on the show next year.  He confessed that there are challenges but that the benefits outweigh the drawbacks.  He …read more

Kara DioGuardi Chats with Jimmy Kimmel

Kara DioGuardi Chats with Jimmy Kimmel

Kara DioGuardi sat down with Jimmy Kimmel and the pair talked about a variety of things.  She felt it was important to set the record straight about something she allegedly said in People’s 50 Most Beautiful People section.  She explains that she “shades” her nose, not “shaves” it before she goes out on the set of American Idol.  Ha ha!  Poor Kara!
She also talked about writing songs for different celebrities but Jimmy wanted to know the process of writing a song for someone like Paris Hilton.  He asked “where do you start, an instrumental?”  Fellow guest, Matthew McConaughey cracked up …read more

Anoop Desai and Lil Rounds on Regis and Kelly

Anoop Desai and Lil Rounds on Regis and Kelly

Most recently eliminated American Idol finalists, Anoop Desai and Lil Rounds, were on Live! With Regis and Kelly this morning where they talked about life after leaving the show and performed.
Anoop sang “You Were Always On My Mind” and it really reminded me of what a good singer he is.  He had a little more facial hair but I’m not sure that I like the look for him.  Regardless, I thought it was a good appearance (he could work on handling the microphone a little better but I digress).  Watch Anoop sing and their short chat with him and Lil …read more

Anoop and Lil Discuss Life After American Idol

American Idol’s most recently eliminated contestants, Lil Rounds and Anoop Desai, have been talking a lot about what their life is like now that their journey on the show is over.
“It’s easier to go through it with someone else,” Desai said of the double elimination. “We can joke to each other. Neither of us is really wallowing all that much.”
Both Anoop and Lil talked about the harsh criticism they faced from the judges, particularly Simon Cowell.
“I didn’t think it was my worst performance,” said Anoop. “But you know, that’s the Simon Cowell that America expects. He’s very superlative driven. …read more

Simon Cowell’s Hilarious Craig Ferguson Appearance

Simon Cowell’s Hilarious Craig Ferguson Appearance

In a hilarious episode of The Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson, the talk show host had some crazy things to say when he interviewed American Idol judge, Simon Cowell.  I swear, CBS should consider putting these two on the air together more often because they were so funny.
They talked about a variety of topics including Idol, whether Ryan Seacrest is gay/annoying/farty, etc…, Susan Boyle (Simon said that he knew she was going to be great and Ferguson called him a “lying sack of crap”), whether British people have good hair and more.  It’s a hilarious.  Watch the interview:

Mandisa Talks About Regaining Self-Esteem

Mandisa Talks About Regaining Self-Esteem

Former American Idol contestant, Mandisa, was on the Today show where she discussed her recent weight loss and struggles with feelings of low self-worth and shame.  They showed a clip from her audition where judge, Simon Cowell, asked if they would have a bigger stage that season.  The comment hurt Mandisa but I also think it fueled her to look at why she was obese.
She has since lost 80lbs and is being open about the childhood sexual abuse that she suffered.  I find it to be a truly inspirational story and I’m so happy that she is doing so …read more
