Taylor Hicks News

So, Taylor Hicks gave a recent performance at the Paramount Theater. It wasn’t sold out but the reviews for the show were decent enough. The Denver Post was frank in their description of the event. There were empty seats, yes, but the fans that were there, his loyal Soul Patrol, gave their own performance and made their support for last year’s American Idol winner crystal clear. The reviewer said that the songs were not good enough for Hicks but that, despite the weaknesses, the salt and pepper haired singer gave it his all. That’s all anyone can ask for. Source

Taylor also made time to give special attention to a 12 year-old boy named Joshua Good. Joshua has a younger brother with autism and, apparently, he is a great big brother. Since so much of his parents’ time is devoted to caring for his little brother, they wanted to reward him in some way. Taylor offered to meet with the boy before a show in Chicago last week and the whole family was invited to watch the concert. That was really nice!

I have seen Taylor in concert and am always blown away by his performances, they are never the same.He puts a new spin on each concert and the element of surprise is so welcome ! Giving some time to Joshua is another example of the common decency Taylor exhibits at all times. May he never lose sight of the things that are truly important in life. Taylor is the BOMB !!
