Taylor Hicks Sings "Beauty School Dropout"
American Idol season five winner, Taylor Hicks, was on Live with Regis and Kelly this morning where he performed “Beauty School Dropout” from the musical, Grease.
I liked the singing but the outfit was pretty darned horrendous. What did you guys think? It was great to see Taylor, though!!! Here are some pictures:
Can I just say that I did not love the backup singers too much either. I thought they were too loud but that’s not their fault, really, but on top of that one of them was a little shrill to me. Watch the performance here:

Hi Jeanne,
Ok, you asked for our opinion about several different things, here’s mine.
This is GREASE, set in the 1950’s. I could show you a hundred stars fromk back then who wore wild looking suits like the one Taylor has on, but won’t. Taylor’s glittery suit IS the way (singers) heart throbs dressed, aka Elvis and all the rest of the guys. Elvis took it over the top! I think Taylor looks hot as hell and yes, over the top!
This was a superimposed set, I think it was perfect. Loved the girls singing, Taylor was fabulous! His voice was smooth, clear and got me in the mood to see and hear more! I loved the entire thing. Oh and I also enjoy seeing Taylor’s white satin shirt unbuttoned, WOW. :)
