Video: Kelly Clarkson Sings "Oh Holy Night"

by Jeanne on December 19th, 2007

American Idol winner, Kelly Clarkson, does a good version of "Oh Holy Night" which made me happy because some people can really get too carried away with this song (ahem - Mariah Carey - I did kind of like it, though).   It’s set to a montage of seasonal pictures so enjoy today’s "Holiday Idol Song."

I put a video up of Clay Aiken singing this song a couple weeks ago, so if you’re interested, you can watch it here!

Kelly did a wonderful job of Öh Holy Night”I also listened to Celine and Mariah’s versions. They were great also. But, I felt was staged having all those stupid black people in the churches jumping up and down like they never heard a better version of that song. What an insult.

Beautiful, absolutely beautiful. I love Kelly’s version of this song and I also love Clay singing this.
You know, people can make fun of and criticize American Idol all they want but without it we wouldn’t have two of the best voices in music today. Clay Aiken and Kelly Clarkson. Thank you, this was great.

This is probably one of the better songs I have ever heard Kelly sing.

I also watched the link to Clay singing it. I love the extra ending but there is a newer copy from the other night where he joined Quiana in the ending part since Angie was out. Wow, it was really nice to hear him on that part since we normally don’t get to.

It was not the worst I have heard from her, but I just don’t think she has the tone for Christmas music, unless it has a pop flavor. It was pretty weak in parts. She is no Celine or Mariah by any means.

Her best offering ever was Beautiful Disaster, and the recorded version of Since You’ve Been Gone.
