Watch David Archuleta’s Video for "Crush"
The video for David Archuleta’s first single “Crush” has leaked and I like it. I know some people don’t like this track but I think it’s pretty good for a debut song from an Idol contestant. The video is not a surprise either - it’s super G-rated and cute. Does he ever even touch a girl once in the video at all? LOL. I’m not saying he should but I just thought it was so funny that the song is about a crush that is potentially serious but he never actually touches anyone but I digress… Love Archie so no hating on me, please :)

Well if they were holding hands or kissing the song’s character would know his feelings are being reciprocated when he’s singing about uncertainty on whether she feels the same way or not. Plus any female actress touching Arch could expect angry texts saying she’s not attractive enough for him as a female friend of his got recently.

I really liked the video and it went far enough in establishing the beginning of a crush. Visually it was great- the lakehouse setting, sunlight, dappled waters and let’s not forget David’s potent eye contact with the camera and the young female actress.
And as I posted elsewhere…there is a lot to be said for restraint. It can be way more exciting!!! Just think about it.
